KARE-TV 1983-present logo by FromEquestria2LA
KARE-TV 1983-present logo
And now, for my next logo recreation, we head to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, where we have this, the logo of the Twin Cities' NBC station, KARE-TV, channel 11. This logo dates to 1983, when the station was still WTCN-TV (it would become WUSA-TV for a short time in 1985-6, when the call letters were transferred over to the CBS station in Washington, DC, which was previously known as WDVM-TV in 1986). It is the longest-serving numeric TV logo in the Twin Cities, and a classic!

I don't own this logo, KARE-TV and TEGNA (their owners) do.
Nobita (Noby) Nobi as Noby J. Trump by FromEquestria2LA
Nobita (Noby) Nobi as Noby J. Trump
I know, it's a bit late for Halloween, but it was partially inspired by Donald Trump's recent (November 7th, 2015) hosting stint on Saturday Night Live.

I'm on a bit of a Doraemon high ATM, so this is what happens when you cross Nobita (Noby) Nobi) and Donald Trump- this parody called "Noby J. Trump!" (Or, going by the original Japanese names, Nobita J. Trump.) Please forgive how crappy his hair looks like, I tried my best to put Donald Trump's weird hairstyle on to Noby's (Nobita's)- it was a tough job!

DISCLAIMER: The character of Noby J. Trump is meant to be a satirical and comedic parody of Donald Trump- the views expressed by the real Donald Trump do not necessarily reflect those of mine, FromEquestria2LA.

I don't own Doraemon, the Fujiko F. Fujio Company does.
CBC 1992-present logo by FromEquestria2LA
CBC 1992-present logo
And here we are, today. In November 1992, the CBC redesigned its logo, and simplified it, to what you see here- it is called 'the molecule' amongst CBC staff and viewers and listeners. The blue gave way to red as well, and this is still the CBC's current logo.

The CBC owns this logo, I don't.

CBC 1986-92 logo
And, as aforementioned in the 1974-85 logo, this is what the CBC logo became on New Year's Day 1986: All-blue. It had been rendered in one color in print, but this was the CBC's way of changing the logo for the late 1980s. It was used until 1992.

Again, I do not own this logo, the CBC does.

CBC 1974-85 logo
Hey, here's a logo from a Canadian broadcasting network! You Canadians may remember this logo, used by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (aka the CBC), first used in 1974 and used up until New Year's Eve 1985, when it underwent a color change. This logo is lovingly called the 'exploding pizza', and this logo should be heartwarming to many Canadians who grew up watching the CBC TV network and/or listened to their radio network.

I don't own this logo, the CBC does.
Loading...… - OK, guys, this link is something I have spent the past few hours working on (making it, researching the uniforms, that and my right wrist is in slight pain from all the work!)- a CFL Uniform Database! It is kind of incomplete, as it only has the years 1979-91 so far. Again, apologies to my Canadian fans out there for spelling the word 'colour' without the 'u', as I am from the USA and that's how we spell it. Don't take it out on me for that. That said, enjoy what I have so far. :D

Did you know...?

The "Check Out" game from The Price is Right used one set of 4-inch vane digits and two sets of 9-inch vane digits for its original appearance.

Hello there fantastic stranger. :) Here to spread the positive vibes. <3
Being positive is great. :)
From riding a roller coaster to just eating a snack you enjoy, smiling, laughing, or spreading the love, we've all been positive at least once in our lives.
And today,
I want your life to be positive.
I hope you'll have a dream tonight about doing your favorite things, be it being with loved ones, watching a new season of your favorite show, anything really.
Because you deserve all of the happiness in the world. You are amazing, you are great, you are loved and worth it. Never forget that. <3
But most of all, I want YOU
-that's right, you-
To have a positive and wonderful day. <3
 Lots of love. <3

Cordially, CelineDGD,

Thank you ever so much for adding the font sample to your faves! :D

I hope you get to use the fonts in a future deviation - I can't wait to see what you come up with!

(The original Feud run from 1976-1984 used Fast Money One for the scores and large Fast Money total display, and Fast Money Two for the actual board. The run from 1988-1995 used Fast Money Three for all the displays, including the board.)
AlbinoFluttershy Featured By Owner Sep 3, 2015
I made three fonts based off the text that appears on the Fast Money Board on the older set of Family Feud.

You can view a sample in a 30-by-8 grid here: [link]

I hope these fonts become of good use! ;P

(Fun Fact: The original Fast Money board consisted of 240 Ferranti-Packard 5-by-7 alphanumeric flip-dot matrices, arranged in a 30W-by-8H grid. The original plan was to use incandescent light bulbs for the pixels - but the studio lights made the text illegible; therefore, the Ferranti-Packard Fast Money board was used.)
